Information for Lifters!!!
Please read this entire page as it will answer most of your questions regarding the meet!
USA Powerlifting Membership is REQUIRED
ALL lifters must be current USA Powerlifting members and have proof of your membership and current photo ID with you! If you are not a current member, go here to get your membership: https://www.usapowerlifting.com/member-tools/membership.php. Memberships will not be sold at the meet so be sure to do this before you arrive. All membership cards are emailed, usually within 24 hours.
Venue and Parking
- Venue: CrossFit Chattahoochee, 3379 Buford Hwy, Duluth GA 30096
- Parking: Parking is very limited! We have been asked NOT to park in the lots for the businesses adjacent to us.
DO NOT PARK in the lot for the car wash or the Mexican Restaurant next to us as your car may be towed!
DO PARK in the lot for the police department that is about 200 meters away towards Duluth center. A police officer will help you safely cross Buford Highway.
DO PARK on the right side of Peachtree Rd, walk to the end of Peachtree Rd and come into CrossFit Chattahoochee from the back lot.
Roster: Sessions and Flights
- Roster: You can access the roster here: http://bit.ly/2fWRPBc. If you see an error or need to change your weight class, please email me ASAP at: firstname.lastname@example.org
- Sessions: The roster is split with about 50% women and 50% men! We have broken the day into two sessions with separate weigh-ins and awards. Women will lift in Session 1, Men in Session 2.
- Flights: Each session is divided into three flights. Within each session, we will progress through all three attempts in each flight before progressing into the next flight of lifter. For example, lifters in Flight A will complete all three squat attempts and then we will begin Flight B squat attempts and so on.
Friday, December 9
6:30 to 8:00 pm – Early equipment check and rack heights
If you are able to come Friday night for early equipment check and to get your rack heights, please do! It will greatly speed up registration for Saturday morning. Please bring your USAPL membership card and photo ID to both registration AND to weigh-ins.
Saturday, Dec 10
7:00 am – Registration, equipment check and rack heights for lifters in Session 1 (women). After all Session 1 lifters have been checked Session 2 lifters (men) can proceed through early registration and equipment check.
7:30-9:00 am – Session 1 Weigh-ins (Women only)
9:15 am– Session 1 Lifter Briefing
9:30 am – Session 1 Lifting begins
11:00 am– Session 2 (men) Registration, equipment check and rack heights
11:30 – 1:00 pm – Session 2 Weigh-ins (Men only)
1:00 pm – Session 1 Distribution of Awards
1:15 pm – Session 2 Lifter Briefing
1:30 pm – Session 2 Lifting begins
5:00 pm – Session 2 Distribution of Awards
5:30 pm – Help Clean Up!!
Equipment for this Meet
During equipment check everything that you wear on the platform will be checked by a USA Powerlifting Referee. This includes:
(a) Non-supportive singlet
(g) Wrist wraps
(h) Single-ply neoprene knee sleeves without attaching and/or tightening mechanisms like Velcro, clips, or straps

MEN: Make sure to wear leg-less, non-compression underwear. No Boxers or briefs can be worn on the platform. “Tighty-whiteys” or a traditional jock strap is the way to go.

Spectators – Tell your Friends, ALL of them!
There will be a $10 (or more!?) donation at the door. Please remember that this meet is a fundraiser for Paint GA Pink, a Duluth-based non-profit that helps breast cancer patients pay their bills while undergoing treatment. We encourage you to ask your friends and family to come out to support you and donate something to support this worthy cause.
Concessions will be available in the meet. The concessions will mostly be snacks and water.
If you are coming into town, sorry there is no official meet hotel. There are several hotels less than 15 minutes away located near I-85.
T-shirts available in lots of different colors and even as a tank top (for women)! Very limited quantities of the black shirt will be available at the meet. If you pre-ordered a shirt with your registration, it will be black.
